FUTURE DATES
Our next “home-cooked meal” will be on Tuesday, January 31.  We will be serving a roast pork dinner.  We are fortunate to  have received a donation from the Scouters Lodge which we will use to defray the cost of the luncheon to $3.00/senior.  The one after that will be Wed., Feb. 29th.   The menu is yet to be determined but we’re thinking about some sort of soup and sandwich.

AARP TAX PROGRAM
We once again will be hosting volunteers from the AARP Tax Program.  This program is for any elder from any town – not exclusively Holden.  The program will have 10 sessions.  We will begin taking appointments on a first come first served basis beginning on Tuesday, January 17.

LOSS FOR VETERANS GROUP
Our Veterans Group lost its leader, Reggie Judson in December.  Reggie was instrumental in starting the group, arranging their meetings and for their guest speakers, etc.  He will be greatly missed.  We do have another member of the group who has volunteered to try to keep it running.

CHANGES IN PHONES AND OFFICE LOCATIONS
The week of December 19th we made the changeover from the old phone system to the new phone system.  We also took advantage of the pandemonium to move our offices around as well.  So now, Paula and Cheryl are located across the hall in the computer lab and Naomi is now in the inner office with Clare.   Once Maureen returns we will re-allocate the space vacated by Naomi.
